Finding Joy

My friend wrote a book about finding joy in day-to-day life. It is still in the pre-publication stage, so more on that later.

In the book she asks the reader to journal about what joy means to the individual. If joy can be defined, it can be sought in a concrete way. It is no longer elusive, and goals can be put in place to bring the reader closer to joy. The next step is to draw joy. What does joy look like to the reader? I drew my daughter jumping into open air, knowing that I will catch her. I want to have that confidence as I metaphorically jump into open air, knowing God will catch me. That confidence is my joy. The joy of knowing, no matter what happens in my life, that God will snatch me out of open air, and hold me close to His heart.
